LOUIS, MO – Chesterfield Sports Association (CSA), in partnership with Street GeeKz Liberated, is hosting 64 at-risk middle school children from St. Louis North County for a two-week program that provides basketball, volleyball and social-emotional learning. This is the second year that CSA has led the MasterMindz Sports & Wellness Summer Camp. This program cost, including transportation, program staff and more is fully subsidized by CSA.
“The Beal Center — Formerly Chesterfield Sports Complex — has always been about creating a home for the youth. We run the facility as a nonprofit association, so it is about the mission, not the money. It is about giving kids a safe environment to play sports but also taking care of them physically and mentally,” said Stuart Duncan, executive director of Chesterfield Sports Association whose vision and leadership sparked the project. “We are so grateful to our donors and those who use our facility because their support allows us to extend the power of sports and mindset to deserving youth who likely would not have the opportunity.”
